Alterbaum Premium Helicopters, which was founded in 2008 by Josef Alterbaum, is dedicated to the production of high-quality model helicopters.

His experience in model-making and flying dates back to the 1950s, but it was not until the year 2008 that Josef Alterbaum decided to go beyond collecting and flying model helicopters already available on the market, and enter the sector by developing his own commercial versions.

... said this already successful entrepreneur, as he began the production of Premium Helicopters, which supplies models of a type that had not previously been available anywhere on the market. Working in partnership with a fellow model-making enthusiast, it took him just 15 months to bring four variants of the “Super Cobra” model to the development and construction phase and start production.

These new model helicopters are crafted on an individual basis, rather than being mass-produced like many of their counterparts. The flying performance of these model helicopters is optimised with the use of high-quality materials and the best technology available.

The project came to fruition in mid-2010, when the first models bearing the “Premium Helicopter” brand were finished, flight-tested and found to be very good.
